ashleigh mcCarthy (actra)

Born in Mississauga, Ontario Ashleigh debuted the stage as Bielke in Fiddler on the Roof at the age of five. From there, Ashleigh's desire to perform in front of others quickly grew. In high school, she blossomed as a performer, spending the next four years in music and drama classes and taking part in school plays. After high school, Ashleigh went on to attend the University of Guelph in Ontario, where she learned in in's and out's of theatre. From costume design to set building, she took any opportunity to learn about the entirety of a production. Her biggest success was her role in the one woman musical Mosaic, where she played the role of Ruth. Ashleigh went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Theatre. 

After a three year hiatus from the stage, Ashleigh finally got back into acting in October of 2014 where she starred in West End Studio's production of Skin Flick playing the role of Jill. From there she went on to be a lead in a National Commercial for EB Games over the holiday season of 2014. 

 Currently residing in Toronto, Ashleigh currently takes Film/TV workshops and  jumps on any opportunity to learn about the field and to entertain others. Her acting interests include horror, comedy, and drama but is also open to new opportunities!
